Q4: Was either of your parents born on the island of Ireland (Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland)?

Q5: At the time of your birth, was either of your parents an Irish citizen (even though they were not born in Ireland)?

Q5a: Was your parent registered on the Foreign Births Register before you were born?

This is critical for post-1986 births. If your parent was registered after you were born, you may not be eligible through this pathway.

Q8: Do you have access to your Irish-born grandparent's birth certificate?

Critical: If your parent was registered AFTER you were born, you are NOT eligible through this pathway. They must have been registered BEFORE your birth.
